How much do physical therapist aides make?

The median annual wage for physical therapist aides was $35,240 in May 2025, so half of workers earned more and half earned less. The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $25,360 and the highest-paid 10% more than $47,780. As an hourly rate, the median is $16.94. About 48,150 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in Alaska ($55,760), Minnesota ($42,330) and Colorado ($41,970). Alaska also comes out on top after taxes and local prices.
