How much do pharmacy technicians make?

The median annual wage for pharmacy technicians was $45,750 in May 2025, so half of workers earned more and half earned less. The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $36,020 and the highest-paid 10% more than $61,040. As an hourly rate, the median is $22.00. About 471,680 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in Washington ($58,900), California ($55,110) and Oregon ($54,900). Washington also comes out on top after taxes and local prices.
